Award Categories
Organizational Awards are presented to a MRPA member agency or department and include the Innovative Park Resources Award and the Innovative Recreation Programming Award.
Design Awards are presented to MRPA agency members in honor of outstanding landscape, facility/architectural and park design.
Marketing Awards honor outstanding promotional activities of members and agencies, recognizing single and special brochures, web sites, integrated marketing campaigns, videos and media advocates.
Therapeutic Recreation Awards honor outstanding professionals and programs within the TR field; awards include Karen Linn Medve Outstanding Achievement, Young Professional and Excellence in Therapeutic Programming.
Individual Awards honor the highest performance of a MRPA member or advocate of the parks and recreation profession. Awards include Fellowship, Recreation Leadership, Park Resource Leadership, New Professional and elected official categories.
