Walk Michigan/Walking Works!

Walk Michigan/Walking Works is a free fun and pleasurable walking program that was created in 1985 by the Michigan Recreation and Park Association and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. In 2008, Blue Cross Blue Shield’s “Walking Works” program has partnered with Walk Michigan to increase the outreach possibilities and encourage fitness opportunities for active Michiganians to enjoy their recreation and park facilities while also improving their health and physical fitness.
